Coming this December Street Level Heroes will be on the spotlight with an ongoing Heroes for Hire series from the creative team behind Guardians of the Galaxy, Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning and Brad Walker .I got the chance to interview Dan Abnett though with tight deadlines he was able to answer some few questions.
IFF-Do you feel any pressure with delivering especially the hard core fans of the original Heroes for Hire series and also satisfying fans of the different cast of street level characters.
DA- I do now ;) We respect what has gone before, and the legacy of the HfH name (which is why we campaigned to use it). We think this version is both a great continuation of the ‘brand’ and a very cool re-invention that will please new and old readers.
IFF-With such a large cast what role will Iron Fist and Misty Knight play and also will we see Luke cage & Colleen Wing or any characters under the Iron Fist universe
DA- There is a large element of mystery to this series in terms of the backstory, with twists and revelations, so I can’t actually answer that without giving things away.
IFF-Were you a fan of Iron Fist or their First Heroes for Hire series?
DA-Yes, Iron Fist especially. I’ve been an Iron Fist fan since the seventies.
IFF-Will we will see villains that is attached from each street level character or it will be a whole different kind of villains or villains from the old HFH?
DA-New and old. This will often about unusual pairings or unexpected confrontations.
IFF-How is it working with Brad Walker . What do you think about his artwork
DA- Brad’s fantastic. We loved his work on Guardians of the Galaxy with us, and he’s rocking it on HfH.
IFF-What can we expect from your new HFH in general and also what are you bringing to the table for Iron Fist Fans and any last words
DA-High octane fun and action, some great and unusual team ups, some very exciting mission stories and a deep and murky backstory!
There you have it folks make sure u mark your calenders and dont forget to get your copy in December. Share your thoughts and comments below
